Charlie

Andy & Tammi, I just wanted to send some pictures of Charlie. He has adjusted very well and seems to be very happy here! He likes to be around the horses and if he had a choice, he’d be living in the barn 🙂 At least when he escapes through the front door when I get home I know where he’s going! He also likes to pester the cows that we live next door to by barking and conversing with them every afternoon. Charlie’s favorite spot is lying on the back patio surveying his backyard and soaking in the sun. Charlie is a wonderful companion and is a great exercise buddy!...

Snoopy (a.k.a Jerry)

Hi Everyone! We just wanted to thank you for giving us the opportunity to adopt such a sweet puppy! We adopted Jerry (renamed Snoopy), on Dec. 5, 2008.  He adjusted very well, and loves his new kitty brother :).  We are so happy to have Snoopy in our home, and so thankful to the Hanover Humane Society for everything you did for him! Since we adopted Snoopy, he has grown up a lot – he is under 30 lbs., but pushin’ it :).  He visited Ohio for Christmas, and loved all the snow!  He is good walking on the leash (we are working on heel), and he knows the commands sit, stay and come. He is so sweet, and we love sharing our home with him. Thank you so much to everyone at the Hanover Humane Society for everything you do! With Sincerest Thanks, Katy and Eric...

Zoe

Zoey was originally adopted out by us as a puppy. Ultimately, after the birth of their child, Zoey was returned to us by her family as a young adult dog. Zoey lived at our kennel and was the model canine; she showed well to prospective adopters and was well-mannered.  Sadly, though, she was with us over a year before she found her forever home.        Her new owner, Jennifer,  came to visit with us and fell in love with Zoey.  The rest is a happy ending, with Zoey being primarily an inside dog with an adoring family and her own pet sitter that visits her daily!                          ...

George

George entered our program with his sister Blossom after they were surrendered by their elderly owner. Both cats seemed rather depressed as they were being maintained in their home by family members, but their owner had already relocated.  George, a purebred Maine Coon cat, came to us with terribly dull fur, fleas, a terrible case of ear mites, and an upper respiratory infection.  He was nurtured by our foster, Cheryl Brunel, and after a month of good food, flea preventative, ear mite meds, and antibiotics, George really started to shine.   At almost sixteen pounds, George had the unmistakable presence of an “self-assured, in control” Maine Coon!   He was adopted by a family who recently relocated to another state.  His new family sent Hanover Humane this digital and let us know that George had settled in.  He now has a companion cat named Zoey living with him, but George is still King!...
