Recently, the students at Elmont Elementary raised money to donate to the Hanover Humane. The students read a school-wide book called The World According to Humphrey as part of the “One School, One Book Program.” As part of this project, students wanted to raise money for Humphrey the hamster’s friends at Hanover Humane. The school goal was to raise $100 and, if it was reached, Elmont’s Vice Principal would kiss Humphrey the Hamster. Well, the students raised $390.32, and Ms. Sanders kissed Humphrey the Hamster! Hanover Humane thanks the students and faculty at Elmont Elementary for this wonderful donation!
