Hi! My name is Alex. I am looking for a home in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area (counties bordering on Hanover County, Virginia). My adoption fee is $85. I'm a very regal kitty that has a strong personality. I enjoy being with people and, yet, I'm also independent. I would do best in a home with a family of just adults or a family that had older children as I am very strong and can be easily spooked. I don't care for dogs in the least. While I came from a multi-cat situation originally, attempts to place me in an environment with other cats hasn't been successful because I have a strong personality that overwhelms other cats. When they're overwhelmed, they run and I think it's a game to chase them! Because of my size, the other kitties are generally scared of me so I haven't made any friends. So, my attempts to integrate into an existing kitty household haven't been successful. I think I would do best as an only cat. I've been tested for feline leukemia/aids (and am negative for both), neutered, and I've been fully vaccinated. Hanover Humane has microchipped me, and my new owner will receive a month of free pet insurance at the time of my adoption. I currently reside in the Adoption Center at the Virginia Center Commons Petsmart. If you are interested in meeting me, please email to info@hanoverhumanesociety.org. An Adoptions Volunteer will be in contact with you to arrange a meet-n-greet. You can also submit an online application at www.hanoverhumanesociety.org!

Hello, my name is Mikey. I am a talkative friendly boy that is pretty mellow. I don’t seem to mind other cats and would probably do fine with a friendly dog with the appropriate introduction.

Hi! My name is Miller. I am looking for a home in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area (counties bordering on Hanover County, Virginia). My adoption fee is $85. I came from a kill-shelter and was lucky to find my way to Hanover Humane. I would love to find a home with a family that will love me and take care of me as I didn't have the best start in life and suffered from lack of nutrition. I am very friendly to people, but, while I've been with Hanover Humane, I've been temperament tested with small children and dogs, and I don't care for either. I'm not terribly fond of other cats when I meet them, but it could be, with time, I would be able to co-exist with another feline. What I do enjoy, though, is interacting with people. I crave human attention and head rubs, and, if I don't get them, I will meow for them! Because I am a very agile tabby that likes to run and play, I wouldn't be suitable in a home with anyone having mobility issues. My friends with Hanover Humane have worked with my vet to overcome some gastro-intestinal issues that I had and now I am much better. The key to my well-being is a strict dry diet (no treats or canned food), and, lucky for me, I love my dry food! I've been tested for feline leukemia/aids (and am negative for both), and I was recently spayed. I've been fully vaccinated and microchipped. neutered, and I've been fully vaccinated. Hanover Humane has microchipped me, and my new owner will receive a month of free pet insurance at the time of my adoption. I currently reside in the Adoption Center at the Virginia Center Commons Petsmart To meet me, please email to info@hanoverhumanesociety.org, and an Adoptions Volunteer will be in contact with you to schedule a meet-n-greet. My name is Pumpkin, and I'm a 3.5 year old neutered male kitty with a white and orange coat. My friends with Hanover Humane will be adopting me to a home in the Richmond, Virginia metro area (county bordering on Hanover County, Virginia.) My brother, Tippy, and I will be adopted to a home together; our adoption fee is $125. My owner recently passed away, and my brother, Tippy, and I found ourselves in need of a home. Between the two of us, I'm the more outgoing, but we both are very nice, friendly kitties. We were raised in a very calm home and are looking for a home similar to what we had without small children and without dogs. While we were not raised with other kitties, it's possible that we might do okay in a home with resident kitties; it'll just depend. I've been neutered, and I'm current on all my vaccines; at the time of my surrender I was tested for feline leukemia/aids and was negative for both elements so I'm in great health! Please consider giving me and my brother a calm, loving forever home like the one we used to have. I currently reside at the Adoption Center in the Virginia Center Commons Petsmart. If you're interested in adopting me and my brother, you'll find Hanover Humane's Adoption Application at www.hanoverhumanesociety.org.

Hi! My name is Sweetie Pie. I am looking for a home in the Richmond, Virginia metropolitan area (counties bordering on Hanover County, Virginia). My adoption fee is $85. When Hanover Humane's representative first met me, she was drawn to my gorgeous eyes and beautiful orange tabby markings. She knew that I'd had a tough time of it and was willing to give me a chance. I was very ill at the time and had to be treated with antibiotics for my infection. I had recently had kittens; we didn't know what happened to them unfortunately. While with my foster mom, I received much TLC and was able to gain a little weight and get healthy again. She interacted with me a great deal, and I lost some of my distrust of people as a result and am interacting well with all the volunteers that care for me so I'm making a lot of progress. I would probably do well in a home with another calm kitty (or could be an only pet), but I'm certain that small children and dogs would make me very unhappy. I've been tested for feline leukemia/aids (and am negative for both), and I've been spayed. I've been wormed and fully vaccinated as well. Hanover Humane has microchipped me, and my new owner will receive a month of free pet insurance at the time of my adoption. If you have a lot of love to give, please consider giving me a forever home. I currently reside in the Adoption Center at the Virginia Center Commons Petsmart. My friends with Hanover Humane will be adopting me to a home in the Richmond, Virginia metro area (county bordering on Hanover County, Virginia.) My brother, Pumpkin, and I will be adopted to a home together; our adoption fee is $125. My owner recently passed away, and my brother, Pumpkin, and I found ourselves in need of a home. I'm rather shy and rely on my brother, Pumpkin, to help me out in new situations. I don't have much confidence, but I'm a nice kitty and will make a good pet once I settle into a new home.
